Another PSP On The Rise?
I was reading an article in GameInformer Magazine (you can also read it and see a mock up image here) that Sony was showing their publishing partners the new PSP that could be coming soon. Similar to the Go, it will have the sliding screen. The new things added are that it will have Flash storage, touch controls on the back of the system (and I assume the screen will be too) and will double as a smartphone by running the Android OS software.
My thoughts on this is it would seem like a smart investment in this day of age in tech as we have phones that just about do everything including playing games. To have a pocket game system that can run a phone software could reverse the look of a phone OS on a game system. How cool would it be to be on your PS3 and take a phone call within the system while you're playing a game? The question I have is with Android being the first, will other cell phone service providers come forth and join in? The bigger question is when this PSP comes out, will someone figure out to "hack" it and run the iPhone's iOS on it? Well, of course someone will. That was a silly question.

New @TweetDeck. What's New?
Yes, there's a new TweetDeck called the "User stream preview". Came out only a couple of days ago but you'd think there's no difference, right? WRONG! The reason for the name is because what they did is made it so the All Friends column updates just as on Twitter. I have to admit that I like this new way to get my Tweets. I barely had to hit the reload button other than for DM's. Oh, if only TweetDeck could had done that from the start.
Oh, the shock don't stop there. Just today, I posted a link and someone favored it. Why am I bringing that up? Well, because that seems to be a new feature too. When someone marks a tweet by you as a favorite, it will show up in your Mentions column. As far as I know, that's all of the new things i spotted in this version.
FYI: If you didn't know, if you enter a YouTube or Flickr link, it will give you the YouTube/Flickr custom short URL rather than the short URL service you have it set to use.

iPod XL
So, we all know about the all wonderful iPad ("iPod XL" as it should be called) and buzz is some people see it as something wonderful and others see it as a disappointment. But, I'm not going to talk about it's ups and down. Besides, it seems that the big downfall is that it don't support Flash. I will say this: People need to remember that it's pretty much a big iPod. If I remember, the iPod don't support Flash so don't expect the iPod XL to do so. Before you complain on YouTube and Twitter about how people are comparing it to the iPod, shut up and relax... Because it's true. Sorry.
Now, my thoughts on it may be a bit weird but, I have to nitpick, you know.
The design i think is good. The fact that it replicates the iPod with a simple design makes it look nice. Not too keen on the prices. Put it like this: If I had the money to spend, I'd more likely get a Mac Mini instead. Even if I was to get one, for free, of course (*wink, wink*), I think the most I would do with it is use it as a digital photo frame that can also play YouTube videos. Mainly anime and Japanese batsu games. I mean, it looks good to display photos but to put your iPod/iPhone apps on it would be ridiculous to me. The one thing I don't like that's missing but, we all know Apple will add it on a newer model 6 months after it's fully released, is no camera. It would be nice if it had an iChat app so that's one interaction point lost. I can see this being ok gifts for grandparents to send and check their email.
What worries me is who in the hell will carry that thing around? It looks like something you would take with you on a long road trip or to do laundry. I can't see people in Starbucks pulling out the iPad XL. Not to seen rude but, that would be a douche chill moment for me.
I guess that's all I needed to say about this new Apple product. I could be right or I could be wrong but remember... It's just an opinion.

A Personal Review Of The New Macs
So, on October 10th, 2009, Apple came out with brand spanking new Macs. They made updates to the iMacs, Mac Mini, MacBook, the mouse and remote. Here's my impressions of what I seen on the Apple website.
The new iMacs: I must say, I'm rather impressed by the new design. I love that it has 4 USB ports and now an SD card slot just below the SuperDrive. They now come in 21.5 and 27 inches for a bigger display for watching your HD content. Sadly, no Blu-Ray but if it was added, it would really make the new iMac worth playing movies on it. I don't think I care much for a 27 inch screen or the fact it now has a LED-backlit display. Sounds like a pain in the ass should it ever go out. 21.5 inches should be no bigger than a 20 inch iMac like the one I got. If I had the money, I would get one tricked out but just the 21.5" one. 27" is just too much for myself.
The Mac Mini: Still the same price with more memory and a quicker processor. The new thing is a "special version" of the Mac Mini with Snow Leopard Server installed. Now, a Mac Mini would be perfect for the person who wants a Mac but can't afford the higher priced models. Now, if this is as powerful as they say, you could just make it your Windows machine via BootCamp if you already have a Mac. I would do that since I already have my iMac.
The new MacBook: Pretty much it's the all white MacBook but with a new unibody design. It has more rounded corners, which look better than the older model. The built in 7 hour battery is a slight turn off for me. If I were to have one to use, I don't want to waste the battery if I'm in a stable place. I would use the power cord but the battery is built in so that means that I'm stuck to either risk killing my battery's life via the power cord or just using the battery as the main source. I can tell you now that most of my battery ran electronics tend to never be the best after a short while for some reason. Like the new iMac it has the LED-backlit display and now has the multi-touch trackpad. My only tiny issue is why not offer black again? Or, why not make the body the same as the MacBook Pros? By the way... Do anyone still use ethernet adaptors? They could had put maybe an SD card slit there or something. But, that's me and my thinking.
Magic Mouse and the new Apple Remote: Here are the final two that I have to be honest and say that I hate. I know I haven't touched either one but something about them throws me off to hate them. First, the Magic Mouse. it's wireless and comes standard with all new Macs but I think this mouse is the worse next to the Mighty Mouse itself. Looks like it's way too much work just to click and scroll. I'm used to the physical actions of a 2 button mouse and a scroll wheel. The new Apple Remote... Just ugly. I commend them for making it look like a scroll wheel iPod Nano but I'm sure you have to press buttons. I will say that if the wheel pard was an actual scroll wheel to control the volume or something, I would be impressed. The mouse cost about 70 bucks while the remote goes for around 20. The remote shouldn't even cost that much and as for the Magic Mouse, you could save that money and just get a Wacom Bamboo Touch.
